Val Kilmer and Elle Fanning are a little creepy in Francis Ford Coppola's trailer for Twixt

The trailer for Francis Ford Coppola’s latest project TWIXT has just hit the web and I have mixed feelings. On one hand I really like the style of the trailer, it feels a little campy and creepy in that fun way. On the other hand, I’m not really one for horror type films so this may give my delicate mind nightmares, we don’t want that. What I do like about this film is watching Val Kilmer play a writer who’s a little stumped putting his story onto paper. It’s similar to how I feel everyday when I have to write a story with a semi-positive spin about something ridiculous like a movie based on a board game or something about a certain vampire franchise.
TWIXT follows a writer (Kilmer) who’s career is on the downward slope and while on a book tour he gets caught up into the murder mystery that took place in a small town. Along with Val Kilmer, the film stars: Bruce Dern, Elle Fanning, Ben Chaplin and Joanne Whalley. The film is tentatively set to open in theaters around Halloween this year.
