Vanessa Hudgens has officially joined Mel Gibson and Lady Gaga in Machete Kills

Even though she has been rumored to star in Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming film MACHETE KILLS for quite some time, Vanessa Hudgens (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, SUCKER PUNCH) has now made it official that she will be in the film. We thought this was old news but apparently the actress has just confirmed it on her website late yesterday, we are so ahead of the game. A couple of years ago it would have been shocking to see Vanessa Hudgens take on a role in such a violent, non-Disney film but she’s all grown up now and taking roles that will make people forget she ever sang her way through high school with Zac Efron. Vanessa Hudgens will play Cereza (Spanish for cherry) in MACHETE KILLS and that’s all we know so far. It’ll be interesting to see how big her role will be, it could be as small as Lindsay Lohan’s role in MACHETE. Only time will tell.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, MACHETE KILLS will star: Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Mel Gibson, Alexa Vega, Jessica Alba, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Rodriguez, Lady Gaga, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and of course Machete himself, Danny Trejo.
