Vince Vaughn and Chris Pratt star in the first Delivery Man trailer
I don’t think there’s a more inconsistent A-list comedian than Vince Vaughn. Although I find him funny in most situations, his movies are hit and miss and the guy really needs a hit if he wants to keep making movies. I thought it would be THE INTERNSHIP since it was based off such a brilliant idea, but since the studio chickened out and gave it a PG-13 rating, I have less hope for the film’s success. It’s a shame because Vaughn’s last really good film was WEDDING CRASHERS with Owen Wilson. But Vince Vaughn isn’t waiting long for a do-over as he has DELIVERY MAN coming up in November. The first teaser trailer has been released and it has a decent concept and is basically an American remake of the Canadian film STARBUCK, but with more Vince Vaughn. The highlight comes from Chris Pratt, who is quickly becoming one of my favorites, but the trailer doesn’t do much more than establish a premise. DELIVERY MAN stars Vince Vaughn, Chris Pratt, Cobie Smulders, Bobby Moynihan and Britt Robertson. The Ken Scott (who also directed STARBUCK) directed film hits theaters on November 22nd.
The DELIVERY MAN official synopsis: From DreamWorks Pictures comes “Delivery Man,”the story of affable underachiever David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn), whose mundane life gets twisted in a knot when he finds out that he fathered 533 children via sperm donations he made twenty years earlier. In debt to the mob, rejected by his pregnant girlfriend, things couldn’t look worse for David when he’s hit with a lawsuit from 142 of the 533 twentysomethings who want to know the identity of the donor. As David struggles to decide whether or not he should reveal his true identity, he embarks on a journey that leads him to discover not only his true self but the father he could become as well.
