Ving Rhames and Harry Potter’s Tom Felton join From The Rough

Taraji P. Henson signed on last week to star in FROM THE ROUGH, which is inspired by the life of Dr. Catana Starks, who was the first female head coach of a Division I men’s team. And now she’s going to be joined by Ving Rhames, Henry Simmons and Tom Felton. Rhames will play the wise old maintenance man that has the inside scoop on all the students while Simmons will play the white-collar athletic director that clashes with coach’s blue-collar style. Harry Potter’s Tom Felton will play a British golf hustler that the coach recruits to play at the school. Pierre Bagley will be directing.

I like the addition of Tom Felton, who’s a big golfer in real life, but I’m a little disappointed to see Ving Rhames take a role like that. He’s such a talented actor that I’d like to see him in bigger roles, not just playing the sidekick in movies like this.
