We Bought A Zoo, starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson coming to Blu-ray in April
It’s hard not to feel at least a little bad for Cameron Crowe’s WE BOUGHT A ZOO. It got thrown in during the holiday award season with little fanfare, then took some unnecessary (and ignorant) digs during the Dragon Tattoo review controversy. So a lot of people missed the film in theaters, including myself. But on April 3rd, we’ll have a chance to see what we missed when the film hits Blu-ray. The film stars Matt Damon as a father that purchases a rundown zoo and then tries to build it back up. Scarlett Johansson and Thomas Haden Church also star.
Special features on the disc include commentary with Cameron Crowe, co-star J.B. Smoove, and editor Mark Livolsi, a gag reel, along with Three behind-the-scenes featurettes: The Real Mee, We Shot a Zoo, Their Happy is Too Loud. It also includes a plethora of deleted/extended scenes: Elevator Empathy, A Gift From Ronnie, Life is Elemental, Thank You, Rhonda, Rosie Names Her Peacocks, Quick Learner, Just Can’t Get a Handle On It, So Much Bloodshed, Buster is Loose, Utterly Free / Nobody Died, I Make My Own Hours, The Stuff is Alive, We’re Living The Story, Disaffected Youth, It’s Their Zoo, Too, Goodnight Big Mac, Such a Cliché, Sorry About the Rain, Benjamin’s Big Speech, Opening Day.
