Weekend Box Office: Where the Wild Things Are takes the top spot

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE won the weekend box office and it turned out that the race for the top spot wasn’t as close as some analysts predicted. What was closer was the race for the second spot between LAW ABIDING CITIZEN and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
AMELIA opens up next week, but the Oscar-chasing film probably won’t compete with the good word of mouth that’s sure to generate from WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
