Will Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska return for an Alice in Wonderland sequel?

Walt Disney Pictures just can’t seem to get enough of sequels these days as it’s been reported that they are now planning on making a sequel to Tim Burton’s 2010 film ALICE IN WONDERLAND. They have already found a screenwriter in Linda Woolverton, who also wrote another upcoming Disney script called MALEFICENT, but there is no word on whether or not Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska or Anne Hathaway would be returning for a sequel. I wasn’t that big of a fan of ALICE IN WONDERLAND, but if they made a sequel without any returning cast I doubt I would watch it. Would you?

Johnny Depp can be seen next in the film THE LONE RANGER alongside Armie Hammer for director Gore Verbinski. THE LONE RANGER is set to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2013. Mia Wasikowska can be seen next with Nicole Kidman in the movie STOKER which will see a limited theatrical release in March 2013.(Variety)
