Willem Dafoe circling role in Dean Koontz adaptation Odd Thomas

Posted by: Kristy Sturdivant

Veteran thespian Willem Dafoe is in talks to star alongside Anton Yelchin and Addison Timlin in the Stephen Sommers thriller ODD THOMAS based on the book by Dean Koontz. The movie will follow a young man (Yelchin) who can communicate with the dead. In his inner circle of friends is his girlfriend (Timlin) and police Chief Wyatt Porter who is trying to solve crimes. Since Dafoe is still in negotiations to join the thriller, we’ll let you know if he ends up backing out but right now everything looks set. Shooting is set to start on May 2, 2011 with a release sometime next year.

It looks like Addison Timlin has replaced Lily Collins in the lead female role of Stormy Llewellyn. Good chance Collins dropped out of ODD THOMAS to take on the lead role of Snow White in THE BROTHERS GRIMM: SNOW WHITE (which is still the unofficial title until they come up with something better).
