Wolverine and Beast hang out on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past
Bryan Singer is going crazy releasing all of these set photos from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. We just got a good look of James McAvoy on the set as a young Professor Xavier and now we get looks at Wolverine and Beast filming a scene. You gotta love the look on Hugh Jackman’s face. This of course marks the first time Nicolas Hoult and Hugh Jackman have been on screen together and from the looks of it, they’re in the 70’s, which is the only excuse for that shirt that Wolverine is wearing.
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will combine both casts from the X-MEN series that will include Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Nicolas Hoult, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Jason Flemyng and Peter Dinklage. Directed by Bryan Singer the film is set to hit theaters on July 18th, 2014. Singer has been posting a lot of images via the X-Men Facebook page, so hopefully we’ll see some footage from the film soon.
It’s not clear how closely the movie will follow the comic storyline, but the official synopsis of the comics (via Wikipedia) is: The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline caused by the X-Men’s failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men. She succeeds in her mission and returns to the future, but despite her success, the future timeline still exists as an alternative timeline rather than as the actual future.
