Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid join Ramin Bahrani's newest film

Two Zac Efron stories in two days. If this was 2007 and you were a pre-teen girl, this would be a big weekend for you. But alas, even though Mr. Efron has done a good job of lining up the projects, he’d be better served finishing them so audiences don’t forget who he is. Yesterday we learned that the former ‘High School Musical’ star was going to be starring with Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire and Sofia Vergara in Lee Dainels’ THE PAPERBOY and today we learn that he will also be starring in an untitled film from director Ramin Bahrani. Not much is known about the film, other than it will revolve around a successful farmer that alienates his family. It will also star Dennis Quaid, presumably as the father.

The general public doesn’t know Ramin Bahrani, but he’s done several quality films, including MAN PUSH CART, GOODBYE SOLO and CHOP SHOP. But with Efron and Quaid attached to his latest film, American audiences are sure to learn who Bahrani is. Filming is scheduled to start this summer.
