Yesterday we gave you the run down on potential actors and actresses who were up for the leads in the upcoming soon-to-be franchise film THE SEVENTH SON and with a snap of a finger the studios have picked their leads. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES star Sam Clafin and pretty much unknown actress Alicia Vikander have beat out the likes of: GLEE’S Dianna Agron, Imogen Poots, Felicity Jones, James Frecheville and Caleb Landry-Jones for the coveted roles of Tom and Alice. The two young leads are set to star alongside veterans Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore (who may or may not still be locked in, there are conflicting reports). Although the film is not officially green lit, now that casting seems to be in place look for pre-production to start soon with potential shooting to begin in September.
I was actually rooting for Dianna Agron but I hear Alicia Vikander is quite a talent as is Sam Clafin and I’m looking forward to seeing how well they do in this franchise.
