The top ten movies still to come in 2013
7. ENDER’S GAME – This high concept science fiction novel will hit the big screen soon and I for one think it looks like a great time. Like most famous books to the big screen, I’m sure purists may be disappointed but I’m looking forward to a spectacular ride. (Nov. 1)

6. ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES – Ron Burgandy is back and mustachier than ever. With Will Ferrell and company together again, I have no doubt that we’re in for some side splitting moments. 60 percent of the time it’s funny every time. (Dec. 20)
5. HER – I love it when the eccentric Spike Jonze (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, ADAPTATION, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE) makes a film. Always a source of originality, Spike Jonze wrote and directed HER, a story that finds Joaquin Phoenix as a lonely writer who develops an unusual relationship with a machine. (Nov. 20)

4. SAVING MR. BANKS – A look behind the making of an American family classic, SAVING MR. BANKS tells the story of Author P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson) resistance to adapting her famous novel MARY POPPINS to the big screen. This should be a fun film for all to get behind. Plus Tom Hanks plays Walt Disney. What’s not to love? (Dec. 13)
