Johnny Knoxville bringing Jackass 3 to Blu-ray

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that the summer comedy JACKASS 3D, starring Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn and Steve-O, will be released on Blu-ray March 8th, 2011.  The film, which was originally released in theaters in 3D but will only be in 2D on Blu-ray, will be available in a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack and will also include the theatrical version as well as an unrated version of the film which has “outrageous footage not seen in theaters”.  Take heart, a 3D version of the Blu-ray might come to fruition but until then you can watch JACKASS 3 in an anaglyph stereoscopic version which will come with the combo pack.

Of all the crappy movies Hollywood puts out each year, I think the JACKASS franchise is the worst.  It makes me sad that it continues to make so much money to the point where there are multiple films that don’t really vary too much in plot.  Special features for JACKASS 3 include:

Jackass 3 Blu-ray

  • MTV Making of Special (in hi-def)
  • 11 deleted scenes (9 BD-exclusive; in hi-def)
  • 29 outtakes (24 BD-exclusive; in hi-def)
  • Trailer (in hi-def)
  • “Classic” 3D Anaglyph of the original theatrical version (with four pairs of glasses)
