Normally, I’m against remakes, but in this case, I might actually be for it. Truth be told, I did not like the original ARTHUR. I just didn’t find it funny or interesting in the slightest, so if the remake keeps the basic idea but does everything differently, I’ll be on board. The challenge will be the responsibility of Jason Winder, who is one of the people behind the TV show ‘Modern Family’. Russell Brand will be taking over the role that was made famous by Dudley Moore.
The original was about an alcoholic womanizer who’s family pressures him to marry a wealthy woman, but he falls in love with a working-class woman. He then turns to his valet for help with his predicament. I’m looking forward to finding out who will be playing the female lead as Liza Minnelli made the role so famous back in 1981.
