Dakota Fanning’s self-imposed break seems to have come to an end as she has a slew of films she’s working on this year and has just signed on to another. It’s been reported that the young actress will join Kevin Kline in the upcoming biopic of Hollywood legend Errol Flynn (who may be best known for his role as Robin Hood in THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD made in 1938) in the film THE LAST OF ROBIN HOOD. Kevin Kline will take on the role of Flynn and Dakota Fanning will play Beverly Aadland, who was Flynn’s teenage girlfriend in the last years of his life. Susan Sarandon is also attached to play Florence Aadland, Beverly’s mother who wrote a book about the relationship between Fynn and her daughter. No word on when production for THE LAST OF ROBIN HOOD will start, but I suspect it will be soon because the studio may want to get this out before the end of the year during awards season.
Dakota Fanning can be seen next in the film VERY GOOD GIRLS alongside Elizabeth Olsen which just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. And of course you can catch her in the Blu-ray release of TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PART 2 which hits shelves in March. (Deadline)
