Eva Longoria Parker and Christian Slater will headline the upcoming Latino comedy WITHOUT MEN. The cast features an all star group of Latinos, including Paul Rodriguez, Oscar Nunez, Judy Reyes, Monica Huarte, Maria Conchita Alonso and kate del Castillo. The film will be directed by Argentinean Gabriela Tagliavini. The synopsis is below:
Longoria’s character leads a group of women in a remote Latin American village forced to fend for themselves after their men leave to fight in a civil war. A battle of the sexes ensues when the men return to reclaim their power.
I’m not sure how Christian Slater fits into the film. Is he involved in the civil war somehow? I hope they don’t try to pass him off as Latino. That would be insulting to everyone involved.
