In an article from Vulture on what Warner Bros. plans to do after HARRY POTTER is over, there is mention at the very end of another flick for actor/musician Justin Timberlake.
It states that the studio is finally picking up a project long in development from producer Joel Silver. The film titled, FULLY AUTOMATIC is a buddy cop vehicle that is said to be inspired by LETHAL WEAPON. Timberlake has attached himself to star in the film.
Timberlake has gotten quite a bit of film work recently with roles in THE SOCIAL NETWORK, BAD TEACHER, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS, and the upcoming, IN TIME co-starring Amanda Seyfried. It’s hard to not like Timberlake who seems to have good comedic timing and a true sincerity.
I remember hearing abut FULLY AUTOMATIC some time ago but even early on there weren’t many details on the project. RUNNING SCARED director Wayne Kramer was attached to direct at one point, although there is no mention of him in the article. With Timberlake attached we will start to see more movement on this with a confirmation on whether or not Kramer is still on to helm.
