A little movie that has been flying under the radar is probably one we should all keep an eye out for as it has some potential to be fantastic due to the star power. Kristen Wiig, Hailee Steinfeld, Guy Pearce and Nick Nolte will all be starring in the film HATESHIP, FRIENDSHIP which is based on a book of short stories from Alice Munro called “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage”. The story will follow a teenager (Hailee Steinfeld) who while under the care of her nanny (Kristen Wiig) tries to make a love connection between her current caregiver and her father (Guy Pearce), a recovering drug addict. Nick Nolte is set to play Guy Pearce’s father, who blames his son-in-law for the death of his daughter. Sounds pretty drama ridden, but director Liza Johnson promises that there will be a little comedy in there to break up the intense scenes.
Shooting for HATESHIP, FRIENDSHIP is set to start next week so keep an eye out for a release date, hopefully sometime year. (THR)
