At first, the thought of anyone playing Jackie Kennedy doesn’t seem right. In history, there are few women that displayed as much grace and beauty as the former Mrs. Kennedy and portraying her on the big screen seems like an impossible task. But then when I thought more about Rachel Weisz taking on the challenge, I think she might be the one actress around that could actually pull it off. Ms. Weisz is set to star as Jackie Kennedy in the movie JACKIE, which will be directed by her fiancee, Darreen Aronofsky.
The film follows Jackie for the four days between John F. Kennedy’s assassination and his burial. The script was written by Noah Oppenheim and has been a hot commodity for quite some time. There were rumors Mr. Spielberg was going to turn it into an HBO movie, but he actually has nothing to do with it right now.
