In just a few short months, the classic fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood will be on the big screen and called RED RIDING HOOD. It will be directed by TWILIGHT director Catherine Hardwicke who has given it a fantastical and almost sexy appeal which will be interesting since I never really imagined Little Red Riding Hood past the age of like 12, but this is Hollywood and that won’t fly. The story follows a small village that is plagued by a werewolf and our main gal in the red cloak falls for one of the prime suspects. RED RIDING HOOD opens in theaters on March 11, 2011 and stars: Amanda Seyfried, Gary Oldman, Lucas Haas, Billy Burke, Virginia Madsen and Julie Christie.
I think I said before how sick I was of vampire movies and how Hollywood needs to explore werewolves a little more, so I suppose I shouldn’t complain. Although for the record, this isn’t exactly what I had in mind.
