Mae Whitman, known for her recent role as one of the exes in SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, has joined the cast of the coming-of-age film THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. The story focuses on Charlie (PERCY JACKSON’s Logan Lerman) who is your typical unpopular and shy teenager who is trying to find his way in the world. He wanders through his youth by use of drugs, sex and by writing letters to an anonymous person. Mae Whitman will play his first girlfriend who happens to be a vegetarian (which must come up in some way), and Emma Watson (HARRY POTTER franchise) plays Sam, an older friend whom Charlie develops feelings for. Shooting will start next month in Pittsburgh.
Speaking of Emma Watson, a new trailer for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 should be arriving on the internet any day now. Is anyone else eagerly anticipating it?
