Frank Miller is in the early stages of a project currently entitled XERXES, which will be a follow-up to his graphic novel 300. XERXES will be set roughly 10 years before the events in 300 and will focus on the battle of Marathon. According to Miller the plot is set and he has started working on the artwork and there has been interest in property rights for filming as well. Miller is best known for his films SIN CITY and THE SPIRIT.
I’m on board with the trend of turning graphic novels into films (except WATCHMEN) and I loved 300. Just about anything Frank Miller puts out I’ll watch, so I’m very excited about the prospect of this project.
