Everything about Ryan Reynolds screams A-list superstar, but no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to get that one successful role. GREEN LANTERN was a bust, DEADPOOL never got off the ground and a string of mediocre to bad movies later and he’s still searching for that signature film. I’m not sure what it is about him since he has the right look, he’s got the talent and he seems like an all around nice guy. But he’s still trying and next up for Ryan Reynolds is a starring role in the film THE VOICES for director Marjane Satrapi, who directed CHICKEN WITH PLUMS and the critically acclaimed animated film PERSOPOLIS.
THE VOICES is about a man that pines for a beautiful co-worker, but when their relationship leads to murder, he starts to interact with his evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog. The film is based on a script from PARANORMAL ACTIVITY’S Michael R. Perry. The premise sounds far-fetched of course, but Ryan Reynolds is actually a perfect choice to play the lead. It will give him a chance to showcase a wide range of acting talents and will put his trademarked charm on display. (Deadline)
