Sometimes Hollywood is nothing more than a big mutual admiration society, unless you’re Mickey Rourke and then beware because he’ll tell you exactly what he thinks. At a premiere for SCREAM 4, THE WRESTLER and THE EXPENDABLES actor gave some surprising answers regarding first the film 13 which stars: Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, Jason Statham, Michael Shannon and Sam Riley. When asked whether or not him and 50 Cent participated in the film together, Rourke stated, “A really bad movie, yeah…it’s so bad it can’t get out.” And why did he make it? “For the money,” see that, short sweet and to the point.
Now onto PASSION PLAY which Rourke co-stars with Megan Fox and Bill Murray, Rourke didn’t have a lot of nice things to say about that either. He states,”Terrible. Another terrible movie. But, you know, in your career and all the movies you make, you’re going to make dozens of terrible ones.” He had also mentioned that Megan Fox was one of the best actresses he’d ever worked with, in which he reiterated, “That I worked with [smirk].” Ouch! On one hand I’m stunned that Rourke would make such a bold statement about his choice of projects, however, I appreciate the honesty. It seems that he will actually be participating in a film he deems not terrible about rugby. That film is supposed to start shooting next February.
