Joel Edgerton is set to star in Kathryn Bigelow‘s next film that is now entitled KILL BIN LADEN. It was the working title for the film for quite some time, it follows a black-ops squad on the hunt for an unknown terrorist that was supposed to based on a true article, but now that the infamous terrorist is dead Hollywood can go out in the open with the title and will even work the raid on the compound into the storyline. What’s interesting is that Joel Edgerton actually turned down the role in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN (that’s the one with Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron) to do this movie which I would have said is gutsy, but now it’s just good planning on his part. After what transpired this week this film is practically a guaranteed hit.
Shooting for KILL BIN LADEN should be starting sometime this summer as Bigelow’s next project, TRIPLE FRONTIER was scheduled to start shooting this fall although that may have changed with all the publicity surrounding this film.
