What great news for a Thursday as my favorite Hollywood trio has decided to reunite for another film. Casey Affleck is set to star in the film RACE TO THE SOUTH POLE with big brother Ben Affleck and Matt Damon on for producing credits. Written by Peter Glanz, RACE TO THE SOUTH POLE follows the true story of Robert Falcon Scott (Casey Affleck) and Roald Amundsen, an Englishman and Norwegian who competed in a race to reach the South Pole in the 1900s. Sounds pretty exciting with the potential for some fantastic landscape shots. No word yet on who will be directing this adventure, but maybe Ben Affleck will decide to go ahead and hop behind the lens. That would be fantastic.
Casey Affleck can be seen next in the films OUT OF THE FURNACE, AIN’T THEM BODIES SAINTS and THIRD PERSON. All three of these films are still in the production phase, but we may see OUT OF THE FURNACE and AIN’T THEM BODIES SAINTS before the end of next year. (THR)
