The THREE STOOGES film might be cursed since it’s had so many problems. From the distributor going bankrupt (poor MGM) to the three big stars pulling out (originally it was suppoesed to be Sean Penn, Jim Carrey and Benicio Del Toro) it just needs to slip quietly into the night. But, the Farrelly Brothers are forging ahead and it looks like they have three new actors in mind to star as the iconic characters. Right now Johnny Knoxville (JACKASS) is in talks to play Moe, Andy Samberg (Saturday Night Live) may play Larry and Australian actor and host of televisions Top Gear Australia Shane Jacobson could play Curly. 20th Century Fox has taken the film out of the hands of MGM and has this film set to start shooting as early as March. They may want to get this cast set first.
If you’ve been reading this site for a bit then you know we (more particularly I) couldn’t care less about this film so the quicker it gets shot, released and is available on Blu-ray, the faster I can stop reporting about it.
