Kristen Stewart and Elizabeth Banks join Jim Sturgess in The Big Shoe

Kristen Stewart

It’s hard to write or say anything about Kristen Stewart without mentioning Twilight and although she’s done plenty of movies outside of her money-making franchise, nothing has really erased Bella from people’s memories…yet.  One of the most tried and true ways for an actress trying to change her image is to take on a raunchy role (think Anne Hathaway doing HAVOC to make people forget about PRINCESS DIARIES) and that’s just what Kristen Stewart is doing.  She’s signed on to star in THE BIG SHOE for director Steven Shainberg, who is most known for the similarly themed SECRETARY.

The film is about a foot-fetishist and shoe designer that’s trying to break free from his overbearing family.  Jim Sturgess will play the lead role, with Elizabeth Banks playing a psychotherapist and Kristen Stewart playing his muse and inspiration.  At one point, Susan Sarandon was attached to play the mother, but that was back when Joaquin Phoenix was in the lead role and obviously, things have changed.  The film still needs a financier, so no start date has been announced yet.  (Deadline)
