I saw THE CHANGE-UP a couple of weeks after it came out. I’m a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds as well as Jason Bateman so the fact that they were coming together for a comedy sounded like a good time. Turned out to be an okay time. Olivia Wilde was in the movie as well and distracted me with her beauty.
Now it looks like Bateman and Wilde will be teaming up again for THE LONGEST WEEK. The film is about, “a man who lives a life of leisure in his parents’ prestigious Manhattan hotel. In the span of one week, he finds himself evicted, disinherited and in love.” Hmmmm, this sounds a bit like ARTHUR although there’s no mention of him being a drunk or being betrothed to a woman he does not love.
This film will shoot back to back with another film that Bateman was recently cast in called DISCONNECTED. He joins an impressive cast including Alexander Skarsgård, Frank Grillo, Andrea Riseborough, Colin Ford, and Michael Nyqvist. The plot centers on a group of people searching for human connections in today’s wired world.
