Adrien Brody and Tim Robbins star in the new Back To 1942 trailer

It seems like it’s been quite a while since we’ve heard about Adrien Brody working on a project, but he’s been very busy taking on independent roles including the upcoming film BACK TO 1942. BACK TO 1942 will be one of the films presented this weekend at the Rome Film Festival and just in time audiences are getting a trailer to warm them up. BACK TO 1942 follows the devastating drought that hit the province of Henan in China back in 1942. It’s hard to tell exactly what role Adrien Brody plays in the film, but Tim Robbins portrays a priest who has an unknown accent. BACK TO 1942 looks to be a very dark and depressing film so it’ll be interesting to see how well it goes over with critics and the general audience.

Directed by Xiaogang Feng, BACK TO 1942 stars: Adrien Brody, Tim Robbins, Daoming Chen, Fan Xu and Alec Su. It opens in Hong Kong on November 29th, 2012, but has no confirmed U.S. distributors at this time. Check out the trailer below.
