Alexa Vega from Spy Kids is all grown up in the new photo from Machete Kills

Remember back in 2001 when Robert Rodriguez released SPY KIDS and introduced us to the young actress Alexa Vega who played the feisty older sister Carmen Cortez? Well, a lot has changed in 11 years and Alexa Vega is all grown up, as you can see in the photo below. Her next role will be in another Robert Rodriguez film, MACHETE KILLS, this time as a bodyguard for a whorehouse who dresses a little slutty and carries an automatic. Alexa Vega will play the character KillJoy who protects the girls at Madame Desdemona’s (Sofia Vergara) establishment, and she doesn’t look like someone you would want to cross. No word on how exactly her character will work into the film, but I’m guessing it will be quite the spectacle since it’s coming from the mind of Robert Rodriguez.
