Anna Kendrick has found her next project in Drinking Buddies

Looks like Academy Award nominee (UP IN THE AIR) and TWILIGHT alum (it’s weird writing those two things in the same sentence) Anna Kendrick has found her next project. She will be working with Joe Swanberg (LOL, YOU WON’T MISS ME and EVERYONE SAYS I LOOK JUST LIKE HER) on the film DRINKING BUDDIES, which we don’t really know anything about except that it will be produced by Andrea Roa, Anish Savajani and Alica van Couvering. Enlightening, yes?
I’m not familiar with director/actor Joe Swanberg, but I do know that he typically stays towards the indie films so it’s surprising that he landed almost A-lister Anna Kendrick. Anna Kendrick’s roles have been a little scattered since her Oscar nomination in 2009, from the TWILIGHT films to 50/50, WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU’RE EXPECTING and then this year’s upcoming music film PERFECT PITCH (click here for PERFECT PITCH trailer), she’s definitely keeping her fans on their toes. It’ll be interesting to see if DRINKING BUDDIES goes mainstream and gives Joe Swanberg bigger films to direct or if this will just be one of those films that holds a place on Anna Kendrick’s resume.
