Here Comes the Boom starring Kevin James and Salma Hayek coming to Blu-ray in February

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the comedy HERE COMES THE BOOM, from director Frank Coraci and starring Kevin James, Salma Hayek, Henry Winkler, Greg Germann, Joe Rogan and Gary Valentine, will be available on Blu-ray February 5th, 2013.
HERE COMES THE BOOM follows former college wrestler and current high school biology teacher Scott Voss (Kevin James). When budget cuts threaten to cancel the music program and lay off the teacher (Henry Winkler), Scott decides to raise money by moonlighting as a MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter at night. Of course, everyone thinks Scott has lost his mind, especially the school nurse (Salma Hayek), but as Scott becomes more committed to his cause his school starts to rally behind him.
HERE COMES THE BOOM had moderate success at the box office, bringing in just over $43 million, but it’s really just another example of how movies with mediocre concepts and stories continue to get made. Maybe I’m just cynical because I don’t enjoy much of anything Kevin James is in, but to me HERE COMES THE BOOM just looked like one of those filler films that got made because some big people with money wanted to make a film.
