Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe star in the last Les Miserables trailer

I was just complaining that DJANGO UNCHAINED released another trailer only four days before the movie is released and here’s LES MISERABLES doing the same thing. This time, they’ve shunned stars Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe in favor of showing off Samantha Barks’ rendition of ‘On My Own’. In my humble opinion, she had the best voice of everyone in the film, and it really wasn’t that close. But her part is small and she really only gets this one song to show off her skills. It seemed like we heard a lot of Oscar buzz surrounding LES MISERABLES about a month ago, but it’s been quiet since. If the film has a huge opening, it would do a lot to boost it’s chances to receive some awards love.
LES MISERABLES stars Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne and Samantha Barks. The Tom Hooper directed film opens in theaters on December 25th, 2012.
