Jason Segel and Amy Adams are surrounded on this new poster for The Muppets

There is no group more beloved than THE MUPPETS. I know The Beatles are a pretty big deal, but even they have critics. Jim Henson’s Muppets have always been looked upon fondly and remain as something timeless. Even when I am really, really old The Muppets will still have the same charm. Plus, they won’t age.

A new poster for Jason Segel’s Muppet resurrection had landed. It has several muppet favorites covering the poster: Kermit, Miss. Peggy, Animal, Fozzy, Gonzo, and many, many others. Walter, the new human-like muppet is front and center with an outfit matching Segel. Amy Adams is cute as always smiling amongst the muppet crowd.

I’m really looking forward to seeing if Segel can keep the muppet tone going. This should be no trouble since Jim Henson’s son, Brian was there to lend a helping hand.

Synopsis: On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, THE MUPPETS hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.
