Joshua Jackson set to join Bruce Willis and Rebecca Hall in Lay the Favorite

He’s great on TV’s ‘Fringe’, he’s done a few movies and is famous for portraying Pacey on ‘Dawson’s Creek’, but Joshua Jackson will always be Charlie Conway from THE MIGHTY DUCKS. Jackson has done well for himself and his resurgence on ‘Fringe’ is making people take notice. One such person is director Stephen Frears, who just cast him in his upcoming film LAY THE FAVORITE. The film is based on the life of Beth Raymer, who was a professional gambler that started from humble beginnings, only to become one of the best gamblers around. But when she fell in love, she started questioning her life choice.
Jackson would presumably play the man with whom Beth falls in love with, but that’s still not certain. I’m interested to see Rebeca Hall in this type of meaty role and I’m sure Willis will play some sort of sleazy villainy type role.
