Viola Davis joins Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE is going to be quite possibly one of the most depressing films of the year (and may win for the longest film title). It follows a young boy who loses his father (Tom Hanks) during the September 11th attacks in New York. After he finds a key to a lock box that belonged to his father, he goes on a journey through the city along the way meeting people who are dealing with their own personal struggles. Viola Davis and Jeffrey Wright are the latest to join an already talented cast that includes: Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, John Goodman and Thomas Horn (who plays the young boy). Filming should start any time now as the studio is pushing for a fall release to coincide with the 10th Anniversary of 9/11.
