So I was extremely excited about the French bootleg trailer for MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL that leaked online over the weekend, so you know I’m pumped for the English language version. Now we know what the story is about, which involves Ethan Hunt and his team getting blamed for a bombing in Russia and then having to go off the grid to clear their name. And then there’s Jeremy Renner, who may or may not be a good guy. I know they’re expecting him to take over the franchise, but I’m not buying it. Something about him in this trailer says they’re not setting him up to take over.
The December 16th release stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg and Josh Holloway. Pixar brain child Brad Bird is directing his first live action film and from the looks of things, he knows what he’s doing.
