Pixar pushes release of Monsters University

Talk about getting the hype started and then letting the air out of the balloon. Pixar has announced that they will be pushing back the release of the prequel MONSTERS INC, which will be called MONSTERS UNIVERSITY from November 2012 to, wait for it- June 21, 2013. OUCH! That hurts for Sully and Mike fans out there who have been waiting for this film. However, Disney will release another film in its place called REBOOT RALPH, which will hit theaters on November 2, 2012. There’s not a ton of information on REBOOT RALPH other than it focuses on a video game character who gets left behind as the technology around him advances and it will be a CGI- film in the line of TANGLED. No word on who will be voicing any of the characters, but look for news soon since it hits theaters next year.

Well, that’s a bummer. I was looking forward to another Pixar film that’s not called CARS 2.
