First look at Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street

The late 80’s TV show ’21 Jump Street’ was about a group of cops that get assigned to a special task force that focuses on busting up crime in local high schools.  It worked because it starred Johnny Depp and at the time, he could easily pass for a 17 year-old kid.  The updated theatrical version features Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Brie Larson and Dave Franco.  Although I’ve been a big supporter of the film, mainly because it has been Jonah Hill’s pet project for a few years now, I’m concerned no one is going to be able to buy Hill and Tatum as 17 year-old kids.  They’re not old, but they might be a little too old to be able to pass as high schoolers.

The pic below is our first look at the duo in action and we can’t make any judgements after one small picture.  But I’m probably looking forward to this trailer more than most other films, only because I’m anxious to see what they’re going to do with the story.  Chris Miller and Phil Lord are directing.
