I’m not sure anyone really asked for a sequel to MACHETE, but that’s not going to stop Robert Rodriguez. Production on MACHETE KILLS is underway in Austin, Texas where the cast and crew seem to be having one heck of a good time (it seems all Rodriguez sets are a good time). Along with the pictures below, we have news that none other than Charlie Sheen is set to play the President of the United States in the film. Rodriguez took to his Twitter account with the picture and simply “who better” in reference to Sheen as the President. The other two pics are courtesy of Jessica Alba‘s Instagram and show off her and Danny Trejo posing with an all female Mariachi band and another of Jessica Alba and Robert Rodriguez.
MACHETE KILLS stars Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Michelle Rodriguez, Demian Bichir, Amber Heard, and Zoe Saldana. We still don’t have a release date for the sequel, but a Spring 2013 release is probably a safe bet.
