Hugh Jackman checks his past in a new still from The Wolverine

I know I shouldn’t be, especially since I spend all day on the internet, but I’m always surprised when a director or actor debuts a still from their movie on Twitter. It just seems like an odd way to show off your movie, but with the speed things get picked up these days, I guess it really doesn’t matter what medium you use to debut an image. But today the official Twitter account for THE WOLVERINE debuted a new image from THE WOLVERINE featuring Hugh Jackman peering over his shoulder, with the caption “The past is always behind you, but the memories still remain.” That sounds like a tagline on a poster if I’ve ever heard one. We’re still a month away from getting a trailer for the film, but I’m liking the style we’ve seen so far, so I have high hopes Hugh Jackman can get a good Wolverine movie.
THE WOLVERINE stars Hugh Jackman, Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima and James Fraser. The James Mangold directed film is set to open in theaters on July 26th, 2013.
