Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in new images and IMAX spot from The Amazing Spider-Man

We’re barely a week away from the experiment that is THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and I’m so fascinated by this film that I can barely contain myself. Not fascinated because I think it looks good, but fascinated about seeing what America thinks of the reboot. Is Andrew Garfield going to be able to effectively step in for Tobey Maguire? Is Andrew Garfield really an A-list star? I’m not so sure and the trailers have me so mixed as far as whether or not he’ll be able to pull it off. The IMAX and 3D aspects of the film look pretty great but I don’t know if that’s enough to carry the film, but it should make for a fun time at the theater.
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dennis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Cambell Scott and Sally Field. Marc Webb (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) is handling directing duties for the film that hits theaters on July 3rd, 2012.
