Bennett Miller in Talks to Direct Brad Pitt in Moneyball

It looks like the on again, off again baseball drama MONEYBALL is picking up steam again, this time with Bennett Miller (CAPOTE) in talks to direct. Miller is stepping into the shoes vacated by Steven Soderbergh, who left the project earlier this year. It is thought that Mr. Brad Pitt would continue to be involved.
The book ‘Moneyball” by Michael Lewis is a fascinating book, although it’s influence on today’s game is so great that most new fans wouldn’t realize how revolutionary this way of thinking was at the time. If done right, this could be a fantastic movie and I’m anxious for them to get going on it.
