Blake Lively and Benicio Del Toro square off in the first look at Oliver Stone's Savages

It has been a while since Oliver Stone did anything that I was excited about, but with his latest film, SAVAGES, the director seems to be getting back to his edgy roots. The story of a trio of free-spirited, drug dealing firends that get recruited by a powerful drug cartel and then find themselves stealing from that very cartel in order to pay a ransom on their friend is perfect material for Stone. Today, courtesy of a Tweet from Universal Pictures Argentina, we get the first look at SAVAGES, featuring Blake Lively and Benicio Del Toro. It doesn’t seem like things are going well for Lively’s character.
SAVAGES stars Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, Benicio Del Toro, Emile Hirsch and the recently Oscar nominated Demian Bichir. The film is due to hit theaters everywhere on September 28th.
