Brad Bird has several ideas for the next installment of The Incredibles

Just yesterday I was talking about how great Brad Bird is. This based off his work on THE INCREDIBLES alone. I’m taking a leap saying that MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL looks like it’s going to be great. My opinion is coming solely off a trailer and his previous animated feature. For all I know the fourth MISSION IMPOSSIBLE could fail. But I really don’t see that.
After wondering if Bird would ever make a sequel to THE INCREDIBLES, it looks like he has an idea that he might actually get off the ground with. The directors choice to delay the sequel is for a valid reason, he doesn’t want to put out just anything. Bird said this on the follow-up, “I want to do it because I have something that will be as good or better than the original. Toy Story 2′ was, to me, a perfect sequel, because it absolutely respected the first film but found new places to go without selling out its characters. So if I could come up with an idea that is to ‘The Incredibles’ what ‘Toy Story 2’ is to ‘Toy Story’, I would do it in a second.”
The director has a ton of ideas that he think would be great but he still needs to work on choosing one. Once everything is fully developed perhaps he can finally put it to paper then into production.
