It’s a little surprising that Universal and Dreamworks would release the trailer for COWBOYS & ALIENS on the same day that Warner Brothers released the trailer for GREEN LANTERN given that the films target the same audience. But while GREEN LANTERN took the comedy/action route, COWBOYS & ALIENS took the drama/intense route. After his work on the Iron Man films, it’s hard not to have complete trust in Jon Favreau. We didn’t get much of the alien vs cowboy angle in this, but it promises to be a good time. It’s also nice to see Harrison Ford back in the tough guy role after a few lackluster performances.
The film stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Abigail Spencer and Sam Rockwell. It hits theaters on July 29th, 2011. Watch the trailer here.
