Jessica Chastain will be Tom Cruise's leading lady for Horizons

It wasn’t so long ago that Olga Kurylenko, Brit Marling, Noomi Rapace, Jessica Chastain, and Olivia Wilde were all competing to be Tom Cruise’s love interest for Joseph Kosinski’s HORIZONS. Only one has come out victorious– Jessica Chastain.
Chastain (THE TREE OF LIFE) will take on the role opposite Cruise. Apparently there are two female roles up for grabs and Chastain took one of them. One of the other ladies who tried out may still be able to clinch a spot in the film. There are no details on either female character.
The film is a love story taking place in an apocalyptic future where most of the population lives in clouds since the Earth is no longer habitable. A Earthbound repairman whose job it is to work on drones that fight alien life forms meets a woman who forces him to question his world view. So maybe two chicks will fit over Cruise’s character. Space catfight! I’m still hoping for Olivia Wilde.
