Josh Hutcherson joins Benicio Del Toro in Paradise Lost

Josh Hutcherson

While his fellow Hunger Games co-stars seem to be cashing in while the gettin’ is good, Josh Hutcherson seems to be left out in the cold.  The most experienced actor of the bunch, Hutcherson has only appeared in a string of forgettable movies like DETENTION, 7 DAYS IN HAVANA and THE FORGER, most made before THE HUNGER GAMES.  But his most recent addition makes me thing the talented young actor is serious about trying to establish himself as a legitimate actor as he’s just signed on to star in PARADISE LOST with Benicio Del Toro.

The film is actually based on true events and will follow a young man (Josh Hutherson) that travels to Colombia and falls in love with a beautiful woman, only to find out that she’s the niece of the infamous drug lord, Pablo Escobar (Benicio Del Toro).  The film will be the directorial debut of Andrea di Stefano, who also wrote the script.  Stefano most recently appeared in LIFE OF PI as an actor.  (Deadline)
