Liam Hemsworth joins Teresa Palmer and John Malkovich in Cut Bank

Liam Hemsworth is continuing his rise through the Hollywood ranks, but he’s finding out it’s a lot harder when you don’t have the Mighty God of Thunder to help you out. His older brother Chris was lucky enough to hammer (sorry) his way into A-list status, but Liam Hemsworth is having to do it the old fashioned way; choose good scripts and give good performances. Yeah, he has THE HUNGER GAMES, but other than that, the verdict is mixed as to how big a star he’ll end up being. But the young actor has just signed on for the lead in the film CUT BANK. CUT BANK is set to star Liam Hemsworth, Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich, Oliver Platt, Billy Bob Thornton, Bruce Dern and Michael Stuhlbarg. Matt Shakman (‘Mad Men’) is directing the film that just recently started production.
CUT BANK official synopsis: Cut Bank is the story of 25-year-old Dwayne McLaren (Hemsworth), a former-athlete-turned-auto-mechanic, who dreams of getting out of Cut Bank, Montana, the coldest town in America. But his efforts to do so set in motion a deadly series of events that change his life and the character of the town forever.
